The Cranston Bulldogs (6-1) bounced back from their only loss of the season with a 10-2 victory over Coventry last night at Paine Field.

The Bulldogs broke open a close game with a five-run fourth inning. Nick Mason and Matt Talabac got the key hits in the inning to lead the uprising.

Cranston received solid pitching of Kyle Pallad. In five innings of work, he gave up one run while striking out seven and walking one. Christian Adams followed Pallad, pitching the final two innings.

Defensively, John Nardolillo played sterling defense for the Bulldogs making diving catches at second base and left field.

Led by the strong pitching by Ryan Fogel and the hitting of Jarrod Vadeboncouer (3-run home run), Coventry defeated Warwick PAL, 14-1.

Led by the hitting of Jason Edwards and the pitching of John Pellegrino, Chariho won their fourth game of the year by blanking West Warwick, 14-0.

Edwards, who was 2/3 with one double and one rbi, led an 11-hit attack. Also, getting multiple hits were Justin Giles (2/3, one double and 4 rbi’s) and Alan Carpenter (2/3, 2 rbi’s).

Pellegrino, who picked up the win, struck out four batters in five innings of work.

For West Warwick, Chase Joubert and Calvin Battersby recorded their only hits of the game.

Led by the hitting of Rob Whalen, Dylan Rego, Jack Hornstein and Noah Sullivan, Flood Ford picked up their sixth win in a row. Each player recorded two hits in the ten-hit attack of Flood.
